Default Volvo is no longer a good brand

I got an xc60 phev 2018. It’s been one problem after another. Now that I hit 150k, everything fell apart:
1. The washer quit. Replaced with new pumps, still not working. Now I am told the whole fuse box needs to be replaced. This to me sounds like manufacturer defect but I haven’t heard of any recalls.
2. At same time, my car stopped charging, no errors, nothing, just zero charge after overnight plug-in. Tried ChargePoint and Volvos charger, same thing.
Then I took it to the dealership and I am told a fuse on the charging port blew and had to replace the whole thing. After replacing it, no luck it still failed to charge and now I am to replace another expensive module which I refused because now I have spent $5000 and still not sure where this would lead. Now I am stuck with an expensive brick that I consider junk for now.
Caution to those out there thinking of Volvo’s hybrid or full electric, I don’t think volvo has this technology figured out or they have a bad design that will cost a fortune in total ownership.
I almost replaced my xc60 with full electric recharge but that is not going to happen. I am reverting back to regular gas and perhaps a Toyota.
If you have an xc60 PHev, I will get rid of it now before things start to fall apart.
So just beware, with Chinese acquisition, Volvo is living on its old glory and I don’t think it’s as reliable as it used to be. Maybe it’s because I am an unhappy fan at this time.

Have you owned the car since new or puchased a used one? If you purchased a used one, how many miles was on the odometer when you acquired it and how long have you owned it? Also, did the purchase of the used car come with prior maintenance and repair documentation?

Regarding the fuse box, other than at some point this getting water damage, I can't see why it would need replacement. Regarding water damage, there's a water drain from the sun roof down the A pillars that may need to be periodically cleaned, particularly if the car is used in a high dust area, subject to a lot of tree droppings and/or not kept clean ... and the sun roof is used. This tube can become clogged and water can get into the fuse box or other areas of the front passenger compartment.

I purchased a factory ordered 2020 V90 Estate T6 and haven't had any significant problems with it. My friend, who owns a 2019 V90CC, has had the same experience.

Default Brand new

I got it brand new, maybe 20 miles on it. No prior owner. My car spends most time in the garage and I particularly avoid parking under trees. If simple drain can cause a major damage to a car, it still boils down to poor design, we are just tolerant of it. No water damage as far as I know.

Check the A pillar drains to see if they are clear. The passenger side drain runs down the A pillar, behind the footwell fuse box and exits towards the rear of the inner fender. If the drain is clogged or the drain is disconnected (I believe there's a connection point above the fuse box), water can enter the fuse box and/or other parts of the dashboard, and then deposit water on the carpet. Although not a requirement, I had the dealer ensure that the A and C pillar roof drains were working properly during my last oil change, and intend to do so every other year, going forward.
