What to buy...a 2010 or 2011 XC60
Hello,
I'm looking at 2 used xc60s a 2010 and a 2011 with similar mileage (210,000 and 233,000 respectively).
They are both in good condition with the 2011 showing more rust around all fenders that the dealer offered to have fixed up as part of the deal.
Any opinions out there on which is the better choice of the 2 models?
Thanks in advance
Jen

two comments:
1) when it comes to rust, you can see only about 20% of what's going on. Fixing rust is really peeling an onion.
2) as with any used car, the best asset is a maintenance history. Any old car can be buffed to a shine but that doesn't tell you it was properly maintained.

Nothing earth shattering difference between the two years. You'll find the infotainment center was changed in model year 2011, but pretty much the same car. I'm on my third XC60 of that generation. Very good cars.
Where did the 2011 reside? Up north? Corrosion will happen to any car in any region of the country, but are more pronounced with exposure to the dreaded winter mix of sand and salt. I'm down here in the South and coastal cars experience the same things.
But my third XC60 was from the "rust belt" and overall it held up nicely even as a daily driver. It's a one owner and serviced entirely by one Volvo dealership in Penn.
