Windshield - wavy ripple
So, I recently got a 2020 T-8, just 7k km on the clock, all fine and dandy then the next day while taking a right turn i realize the view outside the passengers side is somewhat distorted, i.e. the objects through the windshield seemed to slightly change dimensions up till i my eyes are back set on the road ahead. This is hard to catch when there is no motion (either my head or the vehicle). When looking through driver's view it's not noticeable, but the passenger can see it from an angle, say 35/40 degrees. It's not really much of a safety issue but it's distracting and let's be honest it's really annoying to have in a car of this caliber. the glass is Volvo//Sait Gobain Sekurit (DOT 772). Anyone had/has this ? What did you do ?? I presume it's covered by the warranty..
My wife has a 2012 t6 and has the same issue. Took it back to the dealer but warranty expired. The technician said the glass laminations deteriorated. It’s a distraction if you know it’s there. We got used to it.
My problem now is trying to get the new rear hydraulic strut for the hatch to work. Trying to find an answer in this forum.

Thanks, EagleCrash2. I doubt it would have deteriorated, i think that's more of a manufacturer's fault. It doesn't really really bother me while driving, but still is an annoyance to know it's there. Did you find your hatch strut ?
We got used to our windshield too. As for the rear hatch strut I took the car to a shop to perform the bleeding.
They’re waiting for the hydraulic fluid which is a back order item at the Volvo dealers. Meanwhile we’re using the car daily but we cannot operate the hatch.
