XC 60 D5 timing issues
Hi guys, I have a 2010 XC60 that damaged the cylinder head a while back. For the life of me my mechanic (ex Volvo) is failing to get the car to crank. The head was repaired after it broke the lifter housing and now the mechanic is failing to set the timing. according to him, he says the valves are hitting on to the pistons when its set on timing. The head was then taken back to the engineers as he said the valves were too long. The head is back and the problem is still the same. It turns for about 30% from the crankshaft timing position and then locks.
What could be the issue here?
Thank you in advance.
