I was trying to remove the rear seat cushion to clean underneath and one of the seat latches is broken and will not release. Looking further, I saw that the latch itself was completely detached from the bottom of the seat and may never release due to no available leverage on the latch. Yet a wire/cable/something is keeping the seat from lifting.

There is not enough space to reach in and try anything else.

So the latch is not unlocking, but it is not firmly attached to the seat, but IS still attached to some kind of wire/cable.

Anyone have any suggestions?
