How to lock the small door to access the outlet to recharge the battery in a hybrid car? The small door to access the gasoline tank is locked when you lock the car but the small door to access the outlet to recharge the battery does not lock, It is still open.even if you lock the car.. Can anyone help me?
My car is a XC60 T8 Hybrid 2020.

Hi Carlos, I know what you mean as on my 2018 XC60 T8, the charging access door locks when the main car is locked. the 2020 T8 manual doesn't seem to indicate that the access door locks. It does mention that the cable is locked to the car when charging i.e. the car has to be unlocked to remove the charging cable. Regards.

 

Tks kenedi. thatīs the problem. the charging access door is always open. and it could be dangerous. from my perspective, the correct should be as you said in the model 2018 XC60 T8, with locking the charging access door when you lock the car. but it doesnīt happen. and other problem it could be damage on the car. as the charging access door is always unlocked, any unknown people could open and break this door. Thatīs my question. Why Volvo buit a 2020 car with this problem? It is almost incredible that Volvo lock the fuel access door but the charging access door they donīt. Why does it happen? Can other guy help me on this problem?

 

On my 2019 T8...that charging access door always remains open.....just the way it is..would be nice if it locked.....
