1A Auto Strut Kit: Any good? Experiences?
Ever since I had aftermarket struts installed on a friend's Honda that made it ride like a lumber wagon, I've been loathe to go for aftermarkets. But, at 250K, my 2003 XC70 is a thousand dollar car, and I still like it, but I'm not going to put 800 bucks into OEM struts and links (parts and labor,) so since the nice folks at 1A auto who produce all those nicely done Volvo service videos offer a kit for my XC70 ( which is NOT the same kit they offer for the V70, I checked, they should be different and theirs are) I thought I'd order from them.
Anyone else installed these? I'm just really hoping I'm not doing a lumber wagon conversion like I did on that poor Honda...It seems that in those days they had a one-size-fits-all policy for coil springs on those quick strut kits, and those coils were waaaay too rigid for that Honda.

Sachs
I used Sachs quick struts on my 2003 xc70. Not $800 bucks (more like 500) but not as cheap as 1A and the ride is great. Well. As great as you can expect for a car this old. FCP has a decent kit which includes new sway bar links.
If you think you can get another 12 months out of the car why not.
