Default Auto Transmission

Hi everyone,
Seriously looking at buying a used volvo xc70 from a private dealership.
I`ve been looking around various forums there seems to be a general concern about the auto transmission, has anyone had the same problem? Can anyone give me any advice or feedback about this car? The car is an 02 plate 2.4se with 93000 on the clock, the car has full Volvo service History but nothing onthe service book say anything about auto transmission...

The earlier XC70's (01-02) had some transmission issues. Most people prefer to get an o3 or later. We have an 01 that has been ok so far. I would do a complete transmission fluid flush if I got the car you are talking about. BTW These cars take a special ATF, you definitely need to get the right fluid.

You can do it yourself if you are moderately handy. Do a search for Transmission flush and you will find info on how to do it. Otherwise, yes, I would take it to the dealer to have it done
