My problem is as follows. My 2003 Volvo cross country has been vibrating/ shaking when i drive in reverse. Not when in reverse with break applied sitting still. Only when moving. It does this about 60-70 percent of the time on flat surface, 70-85 percent downhill reversing and allmost all the time reversing uphill. No problems at all in drive, just reverse.

Also my tires have been sqeeking more while taking turns, this may be unrelated.

My thoughts have been on a simple rear break job or drive shaft.

I too am having the issue reversing with my 2004 xc70. It felt like fuel delivery problem so I replaced my fuel filter first. That did not do anything but give me a new filter.
