Hello folks -

New Volvo member here. We are planning a new XC70 purchase for my wife and thinking of the following options:
- T6
- Platinum pkg

This is our first Volvo purchase and any thoughts/feedback on things to keep in mind and/or options to think about/avoid (non-value add) will be very helpful.

We are in our 30s and plan to start a family soon, so looking for a car that is good with kids and good for road trips/practical.

I'm more familiar with the 2.5L inline-five low-pressure turbo but I can tell you this: Volvo turbos will run for 3-400,000 miles if you change the oil religiously (along with the other necessary maintenance.) If you don't change the oil, it can stop dead with less than 100,000.
