Default strange noise-front end?

I am looking to purchase 2000 XC70. Today I saw one that's in great shape, 110k, timing belt and water pump were just replaced, tranny flashed, everything seems fine except for strange noise/grinding coming from the front end on the take off. It dissapears as soon as car reaches 30mph and it's smooth from there on. It also makes this noise when sitting at the light if car is in drive. I really love the car and want to buy it but should I be worried about this? It sounds like there is no oil in the tranny or something like that even though everything is fine (fluid is clean and car shifts through all gears fine). How do I determine if this is something small or should I stay away?

thanks!

thanks tech!

how many mounts does it have and which one would be causing this? It doesnt make this same noise when going in reverse. One on the top of the engine looks fine.
