Strange noise coming from rear end.
Lets say im pulling out of a parallel parking space, as i pull out 2 or 3 seconds after accelerating i hear this clunk coming from the rear end of the car. The car has just been inspected so i assume all my suspension bushings are in good order.
Any thoughts?

If you're talking about a state safety inspection, most of them are not that thorough. They're more worried about stuff like mufflers and wiper blades, things that can be sold/installed quickly. I've noticed that if you get your car inspected at a place that sells tires they're more likely to find that your tires won't pass.
Sounds like bushings to me..

is this clunk like a clink, or more of a big heavy metallic CLUNK ? do you just hear it, or do you feel it too ?
our 240 has had a clunk/clink/whatever in the front end nearly forever where if you power around a sharp turn from a stop as you straighten out you hear/feel it. its undoubtedly some loose bushings or whatever in the front end, I've been repeatedly told by shops there's nothing wrong with the tie rods or ball joints. the back end of this car used to have a bunch of klinks and klanks, but they all went away when we had most of the bushings replaced.

get under the car, and note the driveshaft from the back of the transmission, to the differential. in the middle, there's like a cage around it, thats the center shaft bearing we've mentioned, grab the shaft just forward of this and see if it has much up-down or side to side play....
here's a pic of the drive shaft ...
(I forget if this is a 240 or 740/940, but they are very similar)
and a blowup of the bits...
(same comment applies)

if its that center bearing? I'd imagine the parts are pretty cheap (been too long since ours was last replaced that I've forgotten).
k, lets see....
those prices are all discounts from dealer prices, from TascaParts.com
I'm not saying you need all that. in particular, the last would only be needed if it was munged, but you won't know this til you get it apart.
btw, the drawings I posted above, the top one is a 240, but the other one is a 740/940 which has a somewhat different carrier (#6 in the first drawing, #2 in the second). the 240's dust cover is equiv to part 4 in the 2nd drawing, the bearing is 3, and the bellows is 6 (there is no '5' on the 240).
afaik, you unbolt the rear drive shaft from the differential, slide its spline out of the front shaft, then unbolt the bearing carrier support and get the bearing off the front shaft. reassemble in reverse. do look up the torque for those shaft-to-differential bolts as they are mission critical
k, lets see....
- center bearing - pn 183265 - $27
- bellows - pn 3549771 - $11
- dust cover - pn 678995 - $10
- Bearing Carrier - pn 1221635 - $31

go real gentle on it until you fix it. the more the drive shaft bangs around, the more likely it will damage the bearing carrier, and maybe even the shaft itself. i've seen them a lot worse than your video shows, so.... caveat emptor, YMMV, objects in mirror may be closer than they appear, etc etc etc.

maybe, just your u-joints
I've had that "clunk" in earlier volvo 240's I've had and it turned out to be bad u-joints in the shaft... fairly cheap to replace
RockAuto Parts Catalog
on sale here maybe cheaper at IPD of FCP...
I'd pull the rear shaft and see if they are stiff, if so replace them or get someone who's done it before to install new ones in the drive shaft put it back and see if your noise is gone.
P.S.
I used to hear the clunk on quick acceleration 1st gear AND occasionally when stoped and shifting into reverse...
Good luck.
