I have a constant tailgate open message.
I have removed the locking mechanism. Two wires go to the electro mechanical relay, and two (pink, brown) to the micro switch. I have shorted out the two that go to the micro switch and the alarm still exist. The brown wire comes from the defrost ????? circuit and the pink comes from wire harness. Is there a voltage level I should be able to measure on any of these wires. My neighbours would appreciate any help, since the alarm goes on intermittently in the middle of the night.
