Default Urgent brake failure

I just received warnings indicating stop carefully.

Brake failure, SRS sytem inspection.

All ligths flash, then the dashboard goes completly blank while driving...No spedometer/odometer/tachometer/AMMETEr/Fuel Gauge, etc. Dark!!!

The car runs perfectly fine and the brakes work fine.

I have a brother that owns a digital reader, will that tell me what is wrong and what I need to repair/replace???

How can I keep driving until I am able to get the work done?

I will bet your ABS module is bad.

Sounds like an ABS module to me also. Pretty common issue, but the crazy blank dash? Did it come back?

Default ABS Module.

Thanks.

Yes. My dash will flash every once in a while give me the warnings and then black out again.

I don't know why the module would cause this.

I saw that There is a abs system reader that you can get at Autozone but it does not say specifically for Volvo. Would it work...Is it worth the investment?

Not sure if it works or not.
It affects the dash because it is a computer in a network and it is after the ABS module.
