Default XC70 ride height seems low.

New Volvo owner.

A couple of weekends ago a scored a 2002 V70 XC for a very cheap price.
The car isn't perfect, but it runs, drives nicely.
I noticed that the car sits low in the front. I'm not sure why someone would lower
one of these. I've already looked into replacing the front struts. Can anyone shed
some light?

did you inspect for a possibly broken spring? Its quite possible somebody installed replacement strut kits and used the wrong parts. Best to look for some OEM replacement springs (FCP Euro, Tasca.com etc sell them) and redo the struts. Also make sure you use the genuine Volvo spring seats as that is a common fail point for after market parts.

I think the spring seats are toast. I will do the struts from FCP in the spring.
