Angry 2004 XC90 2.5t Lost Electrical Control

While 250 miles away from home, my XC90 suddenly lost all electrical control. Remote can't open doors, dash board has no display, even speedometer is not working, only thing on is the check engine light. The car can drive but initial acceleration is hard. Headlights and break light (hopefully worked) are on but no turning light. Internal lights are all off. Driver side window can still work but no any other windows. Windshield wiper can only function at one speed and windshield wiper fluid pump was not working. I drove back home with extra care. Luckily traffic was light on highway and weather was good.

Now I am thinking disconnecting the battery to reset the car but can't open the tailgate to access the battery. What option do I have??? Please help!

Adding to the challenge, since the fuel door was locked electronically, I had to pry open the fuel door, thus broke the plastic latch.

You will need the appropriate scan tool to read the systems to see what is going on.

All is well. Forgot to reply to the board. It was the fuse for remote control. Simple fix.
