The rear wiper blade does not make even contact wth the top half of the window. I tried "tweaking" the arm and ended up snapping it off. I replaced the arm and wiper and it still misses the top portion of the rear window. Any ideas? if it was a metal blade I would just bend it a bit.

 

is the wiper motor seated properly or loose? Usually replacing the wiper arm should fix the contact issue as you are getting a new tensioner spring so the only other cause I can think of is that the motor shaft is at the wrong angle.

 

That's what I was thinking. never had this issue on my 2003 xc90. I'll look at it a little closer when it warms up
