Greetings everybody, great community here by the way.

I recentrly got a 2006 xc90 volvo with a burned out engine and due to my country (el salvador) I'm strugling to find a replacement engine, my question is there are any compatible engines for that model. Engine is a 2.5L L5 DOHC 20V TURBO, I've researched that VW aparently has the same engine without the turbo.

that's what I'm doing
what I don't know if the engine on those models is exactly the same or if that is not a 100% needed.
