Default 2012 XC90 AC fan runs with the key off

I have an issue with my XC90. My battery gets run down if I don't drive my car for a good period each day.

I have noticed that the AC fan in my car runs periodically when the car is turned off. Has anyone experienced this issue and if so what was the fix for this.

AC fan? Are you sure it is not the cooling fan for the engine? It does come on when the engine runs hot. It is a design to protect the parts under the hood.

My car kicks the blower on about an hour after I shut it down if the A/C had been run. This blows moisture out of the system. Maybe your computer is confused.

Yes, it is normal. It shouldn't do it if the battery voltage is below a certain level. But if the battery is weak, it could cause problems. Have your battery tested and replace it if needed.

ES6T is right, possibly always right.

Confirmed that the A/C fan will run if the inside temperature is too hot even when the key is removed.

It isn't because the inside temperature is too hot. Its to dry the evaporator case to prevent mildew
