Default Behind dash purple 12v wire has no power.

Hello All. My 07 xc90 has a rear view camera/screen that I believe was put into some Japanese versions. It also has a band expander.

Everything was good and then the screen, radio channel and front 12v plug would stop working then work.

Now they just won't work at all. We checked the fuse under the steering well and all good.

We removed the factory radio until and found two large purple wires coming from the main wiring tube (look to be factory) that went to the expander etc. We bridge a 12v connection from another location to the purple wires and boom it all worked! We also found out the 12v behind the center console is connected to so wasn't working.

The purple wires seems to be a main 12v accessories wire to the unit and is ofcourse thicker than the other wires. It has no power through it at all yet looks to be in good order.

Does anyone know if this has happened before and is normal? Is there a way to get a new 12v connection there easily that could handle the load of two 12v sockets Incase a few of us need to run our phone chargers, run the band expander, and screen. Thanks

So people on another form had been very helpful and explained it maybe a relay behind the CEM. I put a wire from the fuse to the unit and everything worked which is good until I can get the relay replaced.

My reversing camera isn't working though and I have no idea why that would be. I go into reverse and it would normally show the rearview camera but not now.
