Default Body Computer Module for a headlight?

I've searched on replacing headlights but can't find anything relating to my issue.

My passenger side headlight is out on my Volvo XC90. My low beams are still working. Keep in mind I am a half wit and do not do any of this work myself. I recently took my car to a German motors in Las Vegas. Yes I know my car is not German but they have previuolsy done work on my car, did a great job and didn't screw me over. As for this time it's a different story. All I wanted was an oil change and my headlight fixed. Ended up with a new battery when I left and my headlight still not fixed. Also, they let my know my grill was loose, but did not fix it. I ended up losing my grill on the way home. They replaced the bulb but it's still not working.

Their synopsis of the problem is that my Body Center Module needs to be removed and replaced and that I need to go to the Volvo dealership to get in done as they are the only ones that are licensed to program it? That alone is $700 and after German Motors fees the total cost is going to be $1200? Is this my only option to getting my headlight fixed? Is there anything I can do to try to fix it? I am great at following directions!

The low beam and the headlight are the same thing. Not sure if they properly diagnosed it but yes, I have seen bad CEMs cause this. And yes, they are dealer programmed.

First off, I don't think they correctly diagnosed the car property because there is no such thing as a body control module or a body control module on volvos, it is called the brake control module so that would not be the cause. Second, I replaced a central electronic module (CEM) on a car about 2 weeks ago because the headlight was not coming on but I made sure that was the proper diagnosis before condemning a expensive module.

You can check the fuse. Its easy to tell if its blown. Check your owners manual for the location since you didn't mention the year.

If it is the fuse, never take your car to that shop again.
