Hello I just changed the Alternator with a Reman unit bought from Parts Geek, the car is a 2010 XC90 3.2, now the car will not even turn over.

I seem to hear a noise like a relay, any ideas, I have double checked the connections and it seems to be all good, I did use some Dielectric grease on the plugs before putting them back on, would this have caused any problems.?

I have read that people say you can not use a reman alternator, if this is correct why do they get sold?

 

I have checked again and now I get Immobiliser see manual, does anyone know if this could be the issue and how do you reset them on a 2010 xc90?
