Coins in CD Changer

Coins in CD Changer
I have a 2005 XC90 with in-dash CD changer and 3 year old son. Sometimes these two don't mix very well. My son put some coins (Chuck E Cheese to be specific) in the CD Changer slot. Now when I try to switch to CD mode, I hear some clicking and churning and then get a disc error message. The other functions on the stereo work fine. Does anyone know of a way to fix this? Either on my own or with a dealer? Is there some way to remove the CD changer unit and get the coins out of there? Or does it need to be replaced? If so, can just the CD changer be replaced and not the head unit?
Thanks,
Nick

RE: Coins in CD Changer
I believe that Cd changer is a separate unit from the HU, and probably can be removed/changed -I would go to an alarm/stereo shop and ask them to pull out HU/changer without disconnecting them from the vehicle's harness. If they can do it, may it's possible to "shake" coins out of the unit if you can position it w/ slot down?..
I think dealer will charge a fortune to just remove the HU.
