Default Driver Door Power Window won't stop at top

I have just noticed my driver doors power window (one touch) on my 2005 XC90 doesn't stop at the top! It just cycles back to the full open position. What might have caused this, and would it simply be a faulty switch or is there a trigger that should inform the servo to stop?

Any info Appreciated

hold the switch up for ten seconds and it should reinitialize the switch.

hi,
my wife has just told me that our 2004 xc90 has this same problem, when you use the 1 touch method of fully closing the drivers window it closes and then fully reopens. the only way to permanently close the window is to hold the switch up until it stops and stays in place. i have tried to hold the switch up for 10 seconds to reset it but that doesn't seem to work, is there a set sequence or is there something else i need to do?
thanks in anticipation!

Anyone ever find a fix for this driver side power window problem. The one-touch close makes window reach top, then it opens up again. You have to hold button to close for some time, then it will remain closed. At least it does close, but this problem is very annoying and dealer service charges and diagnostic fees are outrageous.

Thanks for any help.

only some of the window switches actually re calibrate by holding the switch for 10 seconds. the easiest way to do it is to go to a dealer and tell them you need the window recalibrated. they shouldnt charcge that much because you know what it is so theres no diagnostic charge and it doesnt take that long.

Tried the following and ended up just having to take it to the dealership. Since I get my work done there, they didnt charge me. If the 10 seconds up doesnt work, it has to be recalibrated

I have the exact same problem on my 05 XC90 2.5T, except the problematic window is on passenger side.

Tried the 10 second way, didn't work, unfortunately. I wonder if there is a way to do it without having to go to the dealer who will be out to charge big$ for sure (at least over here in Cali, anyway).

What exactly is the work process entailed in recalibrating?

My 2004 XC90 started a window problem when I replaced my passenger side mirror. The passenger side window would not go down or up and then I lost my drivers side window, power locks, and power windows. Any ideas... I checked fuses in the drivers side door panel and they appear to be fine.
