DF reported "Bulb failure" message - it was DRL.
1st, it was impossible to remove without losening screws holding retaining bracket -it should not require those screws to be losened.
2nd, on my XC90 w/ Xenon beams, in place of DRL Volvo uses H10 bulb which no one had locally.
I did have a 9005 bulb with similar base, so after searching I found this link:

It shows how to modify 9005 bulb's base to fit instead of H10.
