We have a 2020 XC60 and 2021 XC 90. Both have the fold down hitch. We use the XC90 for transporting our bicycles. We noted that the driver side of the bike rack was 2" lower than the passenger side. I put level on xc60 receiver and it is level. The XC90 is far from level.

The dealers say that the hitch was installed at port of entry by Volvo. But they do not know how to fix this situation. Any advice?

 

Since this was a Volvo part and is obviously defective, it should be covered by the new car warrantee. A few years back, when you could get aftermarket hitches installed, I had one I got at Pep Boys that was crooked. After they told me the hitch could not possibly be crooked, they finally admitted it was and replaced it. One would think that Volvo would stand behind their products.

 

When the hitch is extended, it should snap/lock into place. It sounds like the hitch was not installed correctly.
