front end rattle
okay so my 04 XC90 has developed a rattle in the front end it only happens when i am coasting and on uneven road. rather strange because i have new bearings and new front axles and CV joints and tie rods. therefore i am thinking its a sway bar link or a bushing does that make sense?

Looks like a torn boot on the ball joint, doesn't necessarily mean the joint is bad though.
It'll be fine until you have water and sand grinding around in there, then it'll get loose quick and need to be replaced. See if the boots are available separately. (probably not)
