Default General question about trans oil cooler.

Currently my trans oil cooler is leaking a few inches from the inlet/outlet hose. On the unit itself
Now question, can i repair the cooler possibly? Brand new i seen $659.96. ebay is USED $150 plus $49.99 shipping. I rather repair myself if possible. If my local pick n pull doesn't have one on the only volvo in their yard at the moment. they don't even have an interchangeable volvo either.
i would appreciate some insight on this. also if picture is needed for an better opinion of the cooler. can always post one. not beat up fyi.
Also can i use any cooler since it's wide as a 2x4 and 2' long? as long as i can fit it? i'm not broke by any means. but i'll be damned if i'll pay $200 for a USED one off Ebay especially when sunday night i have to travel 4 hours back to lenoir/asheville, N.C. for work.
so any opinion thoughts appreciated. i understand this be my first post. i also understand these vehicles most times need be precise. i mean what kind of vehicle makes you register the battery if you change it to the computer so it doesn't overcharge it. 😂

Well local pick and pull didn't have the awd model. but was the 3.2 v8. therefore out of the 100 or so european vehicles not a single one had the 4" x 2' style intercooler. all had the pizza box style with wrong line orientation. therefore an hour rush before closing. found a rang rover with a 2 1/2" x 2' style with correct orientation. so question is this 2.5 volvo shouldn't have any problems using a thinner intercooler? being the range rover was AWD and also V8.? any help is appreciated and thank you.

I must be asking a common question. or possibly it'll work for time being. an i sound like a broken record 😂. i've been reading through literature to understand a volvo better. being not familiar with some if not most of european makes. more technical literature as in my values and operations and etc. on my tablet through stream link and dtc to watch reaction and under load. being i'm at 170k plus. someone said to me 150k is life on it. before you start having to start replacing and testing things. idk. thanks again.
