Hood Release is broken?!
2006 XC90.
It took me about 10 minutes to open the hood the other day, and this vehicle loves washer fluid so I really need to cut that time down to 30 seconds.
After wiggling the release back and forth and arguing with it, it finally unlatched. The little plastic part is such a cheap and cheesy bit, I am surprised it hasn't popped off yet after years of being sqeeuzed.
Anyone know if replacing this piece is an easy task? My V90 had a similar issue, surprise surprise, and actually broke completely. That became a job for the technician and I would like to replace this one myself before it breaks completely and jams the hood down so I can't open it.
