Ign switch battery drain?

Ign switch battery drain?
Hi: New to forum. Ive been searching for a solution to my 1999 XC70 prob. I have a bad battery drain, I suspect it's from the ign cyl because the ign switch has been acting up. It's been allowing me to remove the key in any position etc.. Has anyone heard of this? Im hoping this is the prob. Thanks
