Hi
Can anybody offer any sufggestions as to why my oil pressure light comes on then goes off again, i have checked the oil level, all ok. Its a d5 2003 model. I spent a small fortune at a volvo dealer who claimed to have found 'nothing' and i dont want to go back for more of the same!

Do you mean it is a diesel? If so then I cannot help to much as we do not have them in the U.S.

If it is gas I would check the o-rings in the oil pan. They commonly fail.

 

our V-8 had problem -turned out defective oil-LEVEL switch (not oil-pressure). that engine has both.
