I already know the lock and tumbler is more than likely bad. I have used a light coat of lube and it helped for about a week. Anyone have any other remedies?


Has anyone replaced the lock and tumbler before?


Also, how do I get it out of park to get it towed?

 

If it is like the S80 then it is not that bad. I have done alot of the S60,S80 and V70 ones.
I remove the entire steering column and drill the center of the break off bolts then use an easy out and remove the screws.

If you need to get it out of park to tow it disconnect the battery and it should come out of park.
