I have a 2007 xc90 V8 4.4L AWD. First muffler is bad and need to replace. Do i have to purchase an entire section from first muffler to exhaust tips, or can i remove the first and reinstall a new one. I have gotten mixed answers from diff shops. Look forward to all heloful responses.

 

You can replace just the front muffler.

 

Ok that's what i thought. Does that require welding or does it bolt from both sides?

 

Volvo sells a clamp for the side where you have to cut.
