Default New radio?

My '04 XC90 radio is "sputtering". On for a literal second, then off. Happens each time I turn it on. I'm going to take it out and look for loose wiring. Unless someone has another suggestion I plan on replacing it. I am looking for any recommendations. Not interested in a lot of "bling" as in colored pixels blinking on and off, etc. Do want BT but not much more. Thanks!

1)What is BT?
2)The XC-90 I'm looking at (owner out of country) has a dead "infotainment module" aka radio so I'll be reading this thread.
3)I just learned XeMODeX repairs these units too. Something must be inherently wrong with them. Maybe contact them and describe the symptom. I hear they are honest.

Thanks for the quick response! "BT" is Bluetooth. I am pretty much done with Volvo service as I rarely get out for under a thousand dollars. Yes, I have been reading about that module. I'll chuck the radio before going there again. However, hopefully this weekend I will pull the radio and look for loose connections. Again, I turn it on and for literally one second it comes on and then goes off. Nothing I do so far will keep it on. So, if the attempt with loose wires does not work, I will be looking for a replacement. I will most def check out Xe...

Again, thanks for the tip!
