New to Volvo
Hi and thank you in advance if I can get some help. Our Son just gave his Mom a 2007 XC90 AWD. I really like how this car looks and feels but it has at least 8 codes that I just found out. I am a mechanic but have never owned or worked on a Volvo. Is there a site that I could look these codes up before we get ourselves in over our heads with this car ? It seems to drive fine but a few of these codes are scaring me. PO74468, P188974, VO41464 are a few. Anybody familiar and should I run now ? Any help or advise will be greatly appreciated. There are 5 other codes as well.
You can google or search the forum for them ie "Volvo P188974" found me this thread on the forum:

The fact that you have a number of codes is bothersome since you don't know if they were just accumulated and never cleared and could be false positives (say due to a battery/voltage event). What I'd suggest is scan and write down all the codes, then clear all. Go through a normal driving cycle and see what resets and go from there. Not sure who did the scan and with what device (ie was it a dealer with a VIDA DICE or a scanner with support for Volvo proprietary codes? The ones you wrote appear to be TCM codes and the PO74468 points to a solenoid or wiring issue - thus the suggestion to clear and see what resets. I also found this service bulletin
