Default Newbie Replacing Oil Trap

I am trying to replace the oil trap and found some great instructions and discussion on this forum, but cannot find answer to issues I have not figured out yet.

1. How to remove the fuel line from the fuel rail. I removed a hex screw from the top of the connection but do not want to force and break the connection. Is there a trick to removing this. the connection is black plastic and seems to have a tab on one side. Tried to pull on it but was concerned about breaking it.

2. Removing the manifold bolt on the lower passenger side. All the other bolts are out, but I cannot get at this one. The thermostat hosing make it impossible to get at from the front.

Any help or link to the answer would greatly be appreciated.

I was able to get everything back together and the car is running well. The only problem now is that the temperature gauge is not working and the heater will not blow hot air. I lost some coolant when I took the thermostat housing apart. I could not find a replacement gasket - volvo does not sell them, so made one. Added coolant shortly after starting the car. 2005 xc-90 5 cylinder.

Any tips or suggestions would be appreciated.
