Default Noise from JUST CHANGED timing belt???!!!!

I know that there shouldn't be a constant screech coming from the timing belt housing. Especially since it just got changed yesterday. Phoned the shop and have to take it back in tomorrow am. What could they have done wrong??? [&o]

Maybe the cover is on wrong or not all the way and the belt is rubbing on it.
Or the cover is rubbing on the crank pulley.

I really hope it is something that simple and not the water pump now or something dreadful like that.

Is yours a T6?
If so the covers tend to brake the tabs with age. Then the bottom will come out a little and the rubber on the cover will rub on the crank pulley.
The 5 cylinders are almost the same but have a different pulley setup.

yeah it's a T6. I wonder will they have to take it apart again to get it back on right?? when I went to see it when they were replacing the timing belt, they had the motor taken apart, and by this I mean the tubes that go over the motor and hoses and stuff as well as the passenger side tire. if they have to try and get the cover on right will they have to go through all of that again??

Thanks for all your valuable insight!!

Me again. You now have at least 2 threads on the same topic. Try tokeep these discussions in the same thread - making it easier for other people to follow. All the best to you with your timing belt and transmission issues.

The other one was getting kind of long, I don't know about you but when they get to be 2 pages... I prefer to not have to go through a bunch of stuff I have already read.
