Opening a locked XC90 with the key inside
Hi all!
So I left my key inside my 2005 XC90, inside the trunk, and the car locked itself.
And I don't have the backup key.
I've had someone try to open it pulling the door handles from the inside with a wire, no luck.
Pulling the door **** or pressing the door unlock button doesn't work either.
I'm trying to find someone with good lockpicking skills (and the right tool), but I'd also like to know if there's a better way to open up the car.
Also if I end up having to break a window, which one would be the easiest to replace?
Any help is welcome.
UPDATE:
I ended up having to break the passenger's window. Was harder than I thought, with it being like the windshield, but I got the keys back.

Just saw this post from a year ago. Ouch! Leaving keys inside is such a universal pain, and breaking the window must've felt like the universe laughing. Trust me, I've been in similar "why me?" situations. Glad you got your keys back, though. Sometimes, the old smash-and-grab is the last resort, right? For the future (or for anyone else lurking on this old thread), maybe check out https://carrollton-towing.cоm. They aren't just about towing; they might have some lockout solutions up their sleeves. So, a year on, how's the XC90? Did you ever get a spare key or figure out any new tricks?
