Default Rear center (child) seat latch - replaceable?

Hi everyone, my 2010 XC90's rear center seat won't stay latched down. I traced the problem to a broken black plastic clip (see attachment) that I can't seem to find anywhere. I suspect that if I can replace this one piece, the problem will be fixed.

Has anyone dealt with this problem? Can the piece be purchased easily? And will fixing it solve my problem? Thanks.

I have a similar issue, were you eventually able to sort this out?

I'd guess you are asking about the booster seat not staying down, never had to fix one but here's the parts page for that

I have got the same issue - the rectangular plastic came off and the cable was loosen. Then I have managed to click the seat in the upper position but now there is no way back. Any suggestions how can I unclip it and disassemble it?

Are you still looking for a solution to this? I solved this issue with mine today. Your plastic housing may appear to be broken, but it most likely is not. I thought mine was broken as well, but it seems that the angled areas where it appears to be broken are actually molded that way.
See the awesome exploded view of the assembly above. (Thanks hoonk!)

My issue was that the spring clip (part# 6 above) became disengaged from the metal base and was not in position to accept the catch on the bottom side of the seat. I had to:
1) remove the plastic housing (#7) by lifting it straight up.
2) remove the cable elbow (#3) from the metal base by gently twisting it back and forth toward the opening slot that it was installed thru. This releases the overall tension on the cable. Take note of how this cable is routed thru the parts but do not remove the cable end from the place where it is secured.
3) remove the looped portion of the cable from the spring clip (#6). This allows the spring clip to be completely removed from the metal that it most likely disengaged from.
4) remove the spring clip from the base. Note how the base of the spring clip is flat and should slide between the raised slots on the base.
5) insert the spring clip back into the slots making sure to keep the base of the clip flat against the metal base of the seat so that the tips of it come out of the back of the raised slots until they snap into place.
6) replace the cable elbow and the plastic housing and it should be operable again.

Default Fix!

Thank you so much Robb… this solved the issue for us (Volvo garage and two separate mechanics couldn’t)
