Why did the silly sweeds not make the passenger side- rear fog light (red) illuminate? Only driver's side lights up. I have alot to learn about Volvo's. Just bought my first one.

It is far from silly. The Germans do the same thing on their cars. The LH side is a bright light serving as a fog light. This single bright bulb will not be confused as brake lights.

It is a very safe way of doing things.
