Default Chirping blower motor

I have a 2002 v70 2.4t wagon. The blower motor makes a chirping sound randomly. It seems that hitting a bump in the road starts the noise. It may stop in a few seconds, or continue for a few minutes. I have removed the glove box and the access panels to the cabin filter. I read on another post that there is a thrust bearing on the fan. There is a hose on the bottom of the blower motor housing, can I remove it and spray WD 40 in the opening to lubricate the bearing?

If this is not a possible solution, how do I remove the fan? It looks like there are 6 or 7 T25 screws some of which look like are tough to get to.

I don't want to start removing screws, unless I know what to expect.

Mine started the same way with an intermittent chirp but got steadily worse until it was almost always doing it. I tried pulling it out to lubricate the bearing but you can't get to the bearing because of the design of the unit. The hose connected to the bottom of the housing is just to drain any water that gets in there and anything you spray in there wouldn't get to the bearing. Your best bet is to change the blower assembly. If you have already exposed the screws for the housing you've done most of the work already. The complete steps for changing the assembly are here: https://volvoforums.com/forum/volvo-v70-13/changing-blower-motor-2006-v70-49653/.
