Thinking about buying an xc90
Hey I'm looking to buy an xc90 maybe 03-09 whatever I can find a good deal on or something that needs work, so I can get it cheaper. Is it a good idea though with all these transmission problems I'm hearing about? I have an s60r I'm selling now and looking for another Volvo. I replaced the head on it so I don't mind doing some work and I will do all the work. Is it only the t6 that has transmission problems?
What do you guys think of this one? https://delaware.craigslist.org/cto/6096228723.html
Thanks for the help I really appreciate it.

Stay away from the T6, it had tranny problems. I had a 2006 2.5 and it had an Asian-Warner tranny that at 125k was rock solid. 2007 and newer have pretty good transmissions too. The T6 and early V8's were the problem. Try to buy one that needs nothing.
Just get a T5.
That said, as I am sure you know, there is not a lot of complication that could be added above what an XC90 has. If you eliminate the T6 with its transmission, you can still have CEU failure, water leaking into the yaw sensor, AWD shutdown, etc. etc. etc. It's a really complex machine.
