Transmission cooler
Hi everyone,
I just purchased a 2003 XC90 t6 with 72k miles. I know these vehicles are prone to transmission issues, however this one seems to have already had a transmission replacement. It shifted great, the transmission fluid was the perfect shade of red. Doing some research i found that a cause of the failure is the coolant getting into the transmission. My thoughts is if I purchase a heavy duty universal transmission cooler and bypass the radiator for cooling the transmission would this help prolong the life of it? Let me know what your thoughts are on this.
Thanks in advance,
Matt
