What's the worst that could happen? (2013 xc90 high mileage)
Hello Volvo friends,
I'm shopping the 2013-2014 market FWD with 3rd row - plans to drive one home this weekend.
A high mileage 2013 just popped up by private party seller. 117k; One owner.
I tend to keep my cars until every gasket starts leaking, then I sell before needing to drop the tranny just to replace a few dollars worth of rubber. I do all maintenance with a dealer.
Let's say this private seller wants some cash and is willing to make this high mileage 2013 worth it to me, but his recollection of service records is less than stellar.
What's the worst that could happen?
Let's say I take 2013 XC90 with 117,000 miles to a dealer and ask them to make it run like new - full 120K service and then some.
What service would you want done?
What type of costs might that run ballpark?
I'd probably want to replace the leather on the driver seat too.
I already know it'll be about $1200 if I want to add a back-up camera.

I don't know if the cricktes chirping mean this forum gets low traffic or that vehicle was a bad idea...
I bought a 2013 XC90 R Platinum with 80,000 miles for $20K. All service done at Volvo and brand new tires. It already has the back-up camera and with all service records, I figured the price difference (compared to the one with higher miles) was worth the lower risk.
