Was driving the "beast" this weekend, heard some funny ticking/pecking under the dash on the left side, then noticed that it just did not move when I pressed on the gas, like it was out of gear, but then it kicked in and moved, then noticed that all the dash lights went out, headlights remained on, engine was running, but trany was not shifting properly and dash lights out!. Parked it, turned it off, then on, and got SRS Aribag -Service Urgent in message area.

Seems to run ok, but after the trany issue, do not feel it is safe to drive. Looked at all fuses and do not see a blown fuse in any of the 3 areas. Fluid levels all ok.

In the past, 3 mths ago, someone hit the left rear wheel pretty bad and all undercarriage, wheel, etc., was replaced as well as the back bumper, and just realized there is a fuse box back there as well.

Seems to be electrical. Does this car have electronic transmission? Could this be an electrical short? Any suggestions beyond junking this "beast"
