xc90 awd not working

We found out our all wheel drive does not work after we got a foot of snow. The rear wheels are not pulling at all. I don't think the bevel gear has failed. Is there a way to scan the vehicle to see if the rear is engaging?

Some have said there is a fuse that can blow and stop if from working.

I have worked on very few AWD since I am in Florida.
