Default bumper

Do you need to remove the bumper to replace the driver's side headlight assembly on the 1998 Volvo S70?

FYI there is a tab on the inside of the fender wall on the turn signal. It is fragile in a way that you couldn't believe. Be very careful when depressing it and removing the turn signal.

Then to remove the headlight assembly remove the three 10mm screws that are on the back of the housing. It will pull right out then.

you may have to slightly pull up on the assembly and push down on the edge of the bumper to clear. unfortunately, the plastic on these cars seems to deteriorate fast, so you may end up breaking several fasteners before figuring out how something is disassembled.
