98 v70 wagon question how to figure out if crank sensor or fuel pump is bad
All of a sudden engine quit.running and was wondering how to figure out if it's the crank sensor or fuel pump is bad. Any suggestions
If the crank sensor is working, you can read cranking RPM on the scanner. If the cam sensor is bad, after a couple engine rotations I think it'll set a pending code or a hard code for the cam sensor. You can also test cam sensors directly if you have a mind to. Fuel pressure is measured directly, and in fact a tire gauge will fit the test port on an 850. I am not sure if the 98 has a test port, but I think it does. I drive one, but I never really looked at that.
