How do you know if your vehicle is turbo or not? I have a '98 XC70 - description said turbo but don't see it under hood

 

Look for intercooler by radiator, it will have a large metal pipe that goes up and over engine and then back down into the turbo. If you dont have a large metal pipe going over top your engine, then you dont have a turbo. Also, if you have a GLT model then it is a turbo, unless somebody removed it lol.

All of the XC's are turbo. Check the General Volvo Chat section and look through the new volvo owner threads. After that, look in the 850 section and read over the New 850 owner thread. Your car is basically a newer 850.

 

Thanks rspi; that what I had read but still wasn't sure cause it didn't have that extra tachometer on dash!
