Question 2001 v70 t5 p1171 and p1174

Hello, I just recently acquired a 2001 Volvo v70 t5 and I recently fixed an oil leak a few weeks back and now a check engine light has lit up on my console and upon further inspection there are 2 codes it spat out. P1171 and P1174, with the little research that it maybe one sensor that might be failing (aka MAF sensor) that might be causing the issue. I need some info to see of what the code is actually saying to see what the actual problem is.

( starts up normally and idles at 700 rpm with no fluctuation and only once in a great while from a dead stop the car surges a bit then goes back to normal when accelerating. I can't decide if I have a heavy foot due to not used to the electric throttle or this might be an actual issue)

MAF is running at 4.5 (g/s) on the live data [ its in metric ]

Thank you to who ever responds.

I did a little research for the short term fuel trim and the long term fuel trim and going to post what I am reading from the live data.

Short Term Fuel Trim between -1.6% and 3.9%

Long Term Fuel Trim 21.9%

Exhaust smells a bit on the rich side and currently did a reset on the computers by unhooking the battery.

I have a 98, and I plugged it in and looked at my MAF number. Looks like that number is the same. At idle I am running about 0.6 lb/minute which is exactly the same as 4.5 g/s

So if there's no vacuum leak, then it seems to there might be a disagreement between the front and rear O2 sensors. You should be able to see that in live data. Old O2 sensors drift rich.

Well firebird I think I managed to solve my problem. It seems that if a battery is going bad it tends not to burn the fuel throughly and was resolved with a new battery, go figure.

Thank you for the help firebird.
